CANTON, GA (AP) -- Authorities in north Georgia have arrested three people they say provided fake identity documents to illegal immigrants. Local and federal agents acting on a tip busted the major counterfeit document operation in a Woodstock apartment Wednesday. They arrested three people: 27-year-old Miguel Lopez-Garcia, 28-year-old Kevin Martinez-Ortiz and 38-year-old Maria Asuncion-Real. All three are charged with second-degree forgery and were being held on $2,400 bond at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center. It was not immediately clear whether any of them had a lawyer. The three are believed to be illegal immigrants and federal immigration authorities have been notified.
